Legado provides an AI-powered estate planning platform that helps users create legal documents, store files securely, and manage their legacy planning. Our services include:

• AI-generated estate planning documents (wills, living wills, healthcare proxies)
• Secure document storage (Legacy Vault)
• Heir management and notification system (HeirShare)
• Document editing and version control
• Referral and rewards program

The documents generated by our AI are informational in nature and should not be considered a substitute for professional legal advice. Laws vary significantly by jurisdiction, and what works in one location may not be valid in another.

We strongly recommend that you have all documents reviewed by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before relying on them for legal purposes. Legado and its affiliates are not responsible for any legal consequences arising from the use of AI-generated documents.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Not share your account credentials with others

5. Subscription Plans and Payments

Legado offers various subscription tiers:

• Free Plan: Limited document generation and basic features
• Essential Plan ($39 one-time): Full document suite and vault access
• Lifetime Plan ($99 one-time): All features including HeirShare

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method.

All plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 30 days for a full refund. After the 30-day period, one-time payments are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.

6. User Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload, create, or store on Legado. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and process your content to provide our services
• Use AI to generate documents based on your input
• Create backups and ensure data redundancy

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any purpose other than providing our services.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use our services for fraudulent purposes
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer our platform
• Resell or redistribute our services without authorization

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Legado platform, including software, design, logos, trademarks, and content created by us, remain our exclusive property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. HeirShare Terms

The HeirShare system allows you to schedule automatic delivery of vault items to designated heirs. You acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for providing accurate heir contact information
• Delivery is dependent on functioning email systems and heir accessibility
• We cannot guarantee delivery in all circumstances
• You should maintain alternative methods of ensuring heir notification
• You can modify or cancel scheduled deliveries at any time

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Legado is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for the legal validity of AI-generated documents

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legado, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of our services, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your access to our services will cease, but these terms will continue to apply to prior use.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Legado shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
